Design and Engineering
Brightwater Manufacturing’s in-house design and engineering department utilises the latest in design technologies including Solidworks and Autocad modeling and drawing software. The experienced team can undertake all manufacturing projects with special emphasis on the development of mobile machinery for the quarrying, mining and forestry sectors.
Plant and Equipment
Brightwater Manufacturing operates out of a modern purpose built 2000m2 high bay facility serviced by 5 and 10 tonne overhead gantry cranes. The facility is located in Christchurch, New Zealand and comprises of:
Machine Shop
5 centre lathes offering a full range of capacities up to 1.8m swing / 8m between centres with a maximum job weight of 50 tonne
Large capacity horizontal boring machine
Full array of milling, drilling, broaching and tapping equipment
200 tonne workshop press
Full drive through service bay to accommodate large equipment
Fabrication Shop
Full welding capabilities from sheet metal through to heavy steelwork
Sawing and oxy fuel cutting equipment
10m x 2m flat bed
Significant jigging and handling equipment for heavy fabrication
Established relationships with key vendors offering folding, pressing, rolling and profile cutting services
