Brightwater is pleased to announce the appointment of David Bowman to the role of CEO.
David has been a key member of Brightwater’s senior leadership team since October 2014 when he was employed as the General Manager of Brightwater’s Australasian operations. David has taken over from David McGregor, who is leaving Brightwater after five years to take up the role of CEO with Taranaki based engineering company Energy works.
Commenting on David’s appointment, outgoing CEO David McGregor said: “I am very fortunate to be able to hand over the reins of Brightwater to David, an experienced and capable leader. David has made a significant contribution to Brightwater during the last 14 months. I have no doubt that he will continue this positive momentum with his new role.”
Reflecting on his appointment David Bowman said “Over the last year I have come to understand and admire the staff and our capability as an engineering company. At the end of the day a business survives and thrives through good leadership, the commitment of its staff and the support of their families. Therefore I am honoured to be given this opportunity to help guide this company into the future.”
Brightwater has had two other changes at the senior level with long serving Board Chairman Mike Simm having retired from his role. As chairman Mike was a passionate supporter of Brightwater and over his tenure he helped to guide Brightwater through a significant period of change. Australasian Business Development Manager Peter Reiber has also moved on from Brightwater after five years to pursue opportunities in other sectors.
