In May 2013 Brightwater was awarded the contract to deliver the full engineering design, construction, installation and commissioning of Holcim Australia’s Rooty Hill Aggregate Distribution Centre, located in Sydney. Over the course of the 20-month project, Brightwater engineered, designed and constructed a facility to receive, unload, store and dispatch aggregate product received by rail from Holcim’s Lynwood Quarry located 160km south of Sydney. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, the facility will be one of the main suppliers of aggregate material to Sydney’s major infrastructure developments.
The project was completed in mid 2015 with final commissioning taking place during August 2015.
